Anna Jean Lamb was born March 23, 1934 in Benkelman, Nebraska to Leonard and Cordelia Leta Fern (Johnson) Warren. She graduated high school in Benkelman, Nebraska and went on to attend LPN schooling in Denver. Anna married Ira Edwin Lamb in 1946 in Benkelman.
The couple made Benkelman their home from 1946-1956. They went on to live in Powell, Wyoming, Idaho Springs, Colorado, Thornton, Colorado, and they enjoyed a brief stay in Mountain Home, Arkansas before returning to Benkelman. Anna worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Denver area and transitioned into in home care and house cleaning in later years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Benkelman and totally enjoyed helping at the Senior Center. She enjoyed helping the elderly, gardening, feeding and watching birds, antiques and she loved her cat, Chrisse. Anna loved life and sunshine!
Anna Jean passed away Friday morning, April 26th, 2019 at her home in Benkelman. She was 85 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Sherri Ann Jacobs.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Shelli Jones and husband, Stanley of Broomfield, Colorado
Son, Scott Lamb of Benkelman, Nebraska
Son-in-law, Moses Jacobs of Englewood, Colorado
8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
Memorial services will be Friday, May 10th, 2019; 10:30 A.M. (MT) at the First United Methodist Church of Benkelman with Pastors Rod Helibrun and Mike Clements officiating.
No viewing; Anna chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in Anna’s memory.
