Arthur "Jerry" G. Wissink

Arthur (Jerry) G. Wissink was born January 4, 1965, in Stratton, Nebraska, to Ann Louise (Barnett) and Ronald Dean Wissink. Jerry grew up and attended school in Stratton and graduated from Stratton High School in 1983.
On February 28, 1987, Jerry married Peri Jo French at the Methodist Church in Stratton. The couple settled in Stratton were Jerry completed a 22-year career in farming. The last 2 years he farmed with his brother-in-law Joel Richardson. In 2014, Jerry gained employment with Deveny Ford in Benkelman, Nebraska, where he and Peri made their home in 2019.
Jerry was a member of the United Methodist Church in Benkelman, Nebraska. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Jerry’s love of the outdoors came from growing up on his Granddad’s farm. That’s where he felt the closest to God and family. Jerry especially loved spending time with Peri and his children.
Jerry passed away December 19, 2020, at his home in Benkelman. He was 55 years of age.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Ann Louise Wissink; and his grandparents LeRoy and Jewell Barnett.

His wife of 33 years: Peri of Benkelman, NE.
Son: Matthew A. Wissink of Kearney, NE.
Daughter: Harliegh Ray Wissink of Benkelman, NE.
Daughter: Makia J. Wissink of Benkelman, NE.
Son: Laken T. Wissink of Benkelman, NE.
Sister: Rhonda Kadlecek (Chuck) of Dallas Center, IA.
Sister: Annette Silkman (Darren) of Blue Springs, MO.
Sister: Ronnie Ann Richardson (Joel) of Stratton, NE.
Many nieces and nephews.
Many puppies.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 20201, 11:00 A.M. (MT) at the United Methodist Church of Benkelman, with pastor Rod Heilbrun officiating.
No Visitation, Jerry Chose cremation

A memorial has been suggested to the United Methodist Church of Benkelman.
