Beverly Maris
Beverly Joe Maris, was born July 24th, 1929, in Rexford, Kansas, to Leslie R. and Birdie F. (Ogier) Childs. As a young girl she grew up and attended school near Rexford, graduating from Rexford High School in 1947.
Beverly married Harold Lee Maris on September 8th, 1947, in Raton, New Mexico, and the couple settled on the south divide, where they farmed for many years. In 1984, they retired and made Wauneta their home till present.
Beverly was employed in several different locations over the years including the Hamlet Coop and Walgren’s Market. Her main job however was always raising her sons and assisting Harold on the farm. Beverly enjoyed canning, sewing, ceramics, playing cards, playing games, and gardening. She especially loved to take care of the Grandbabies. Beverly was a member of the Eastern Star.
Beverly passed away Tuesday evening, March 1st, 2016 at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial. She was 86 years of age.

7 grandchildren: Jordan Maris and Fiancée, Jason Pecoraro, Saje (Maris) Giovando and husband, Steven, Jayden Maris and wife, Ashley, Randi (Maris) Hunter and husband, Lincoln, Jonee Maris and Fiancée Brady Chilewski, Jacob Maris, and Joel (Smalls) Maris
8 Great-Grandchildren: Kobe, Braxton, Gavyn, Anna Jo, Savino, Sylus, Chaynee, Nixyon
Sister, Clois Ann Fiala, of Colorado Springs, Colorado

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; Leslie and Birdie, infant son; Charles, infant Great-Grandson; Sawyer, sister; Evelyn, and two brothers; Cleon and Gerald
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. (Mountain Time), Saturday morning, March 5th, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Wauneta, Nebraska with Pastor Bonnie McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery in Rural Wauneta.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon, March 4th, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. (Mountain Time) at the funeral home in Wauneta.
A Memorial has been established in Beverly’s Memory.
