Bill Billington
Billie Burton Billington was born, October 12, 1927 to Guy Alden and Chessie Ezelle (Morris) Billington in Big Timber Valley, Kansas. He attended school in the Bird City, Kansas school system and graduated from Bird City High School.
Bill was united in marriage to Louise Clara Richard August 13, 1950 at the Presbyterian Church in Benkelman, Nebraska. The couple made Benkelman their home and Bill worked as the Assistant Superintendent of Rock Creek State Fish Hatchery, Parks, Nebraska. Bill was active in the Benkelman community; a few of his activities include being a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Presbyterian Church Choir. In addition to Bill’s community service, he was an avid reader, enjoyed painting, knitting, quilting, and collecting coins, guns and Native American art. He also had a great passion for the outdoors; arrowhead hunting, fishing, hiking.
Declining health forced Bill to move to the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial, Nebraska in March of 2012. He passed away early in the morning of July 15, 2013 at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home. He was 85 years old.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Louise; a sister, Violet Rae Williams; a brother, Guy Alden Billington Jr.; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Bauerle and husband, David, of Champion, NE Grandchildren: Candace Rogers and husband, Brent, of McCook, NE Ian Billington of Denton, TX Ryan Billington of Omaha, NE Adam Bauerle and wife, Lindsey of Rapid City, SD Jamilah Bauerle of Natoma, KS Alisa Bauerle of Champion David Billington and wife, Emily, of Lincoln, NE 4 great-grandchildren Brother, Eugene Billington and wife, Ruby, of Eugene, OR Sister, Betty Amsberry of Snyder, CO Sister-in-law, Adele Richard of Benkelman, NE Brother-in-law, Mearle Richard of Imperial, NE Sister-in-law, Arlene Billington of Atwood, KS Brother-in-law, Leonard Richard and wife, Joan of St. Francis, KS Brother-in-law, Don Whitmore and wife, Phyllis of St. Francis, KS
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. (MT) Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Crossroads Wesleyan Church of Imperial with Pastor Phil Harris officiating.
Graveside inurnment services will be held 10:00 A.M. (MT) Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman, Nebraska with Pastor George Matthews officiating.
No visitation; Bill chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in Bill’s memory.
