Calvin Cletus Daschofsky was born to Gust and Bessie (Benson) Daschofsky on July 30, 1927 in Rural Dundy County, Nebraska. He attended rural grade schools in Chase County and graduated from Chase County High School with the Class of 1945. He served in the United States Air Force for a short time before being honorably discharged in order to return home to help on the family farm.
Calvin married Wava Clements in Imperial on October 22, 1947. They spent their whole life in Chase County, living together in the same Rural Chase County Home until shortly before Calvin’s passing. Calvin supported Wava and his family by farming and ranching.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, Nebraska. He enjoyed playing pitch, caring for his large gardens and wood working. Calvin was capable of making anything that his family asked for, whether it was made from welded metal or from wood.
Calvin Daschofsky passed away Friday afternoon, June 21st, 2013 at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial, Nebraska. He was 85 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard Daschofsky and a niece Cindy Wilson.

Grandchildren: Craig Wenzlick and wife, Angela of Frederick, CO; Alicia Scott and husband, Daniel of Golden, CO; Nathan Wenzlick and wife, Megan of Haigler, NE; and Jacob Pankonin and wife, Amanda of Wauneta, NE. Step-Grandchildren: Tami Ruch and husband, Dale of Sterling, CO; Sherri Wheeler and husband, Bruce of Imperial, NE; Jimmie Pankonin and Angela of Imperial, NE; & Johnny Pankonin of North Platte, NE.
Great-Grandchildren: Kacen and Ari Wenzlick; Annabelle and Leah Scott & 12 Step-Great- Grandchildren

Sister-in-law, Shirley Smith and husband, Stanley of Imperial, NE
Brother-in-law, Frank Clements and wife, Alice of Imperial, NE
Funeral Services for Calvin will be held 10:30 A.M. (MT), Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation will be held Monday Afternoon, June 24th, 2013; 2-6 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established in Calvin’s Memory to the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial or the Imperial Lied Library.
