It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Carl Stafford, who peacefully departed this world on October 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Stafford, and sisters Margaret Ruth Fanning, and Vivian Kunkle. Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Gail Stafford, his son, Donald Stafford, his daughter, Lois Stafford-Burchell, and cherished grandchildren Carl, Christian, Conner, Garrett, and Clara and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl Stafford was a loving father who devoted his life to the well-being of his family. His unwavering support and guidance were a source of strength to all who knew him. His love for his wife, Gail, was a shining example of a lifelong partnership filled with warmth and affection.
A veteran of the Korean War, from September 9th, 1953, to September 8th 1955 Carl courageously served his country and defended the values he held dear. After his military service, he returned home to his true calling as a hardworking farmer and rancher. Carl's dedication to the land and the livestock he cared for was unwavering. He toiled in the fields, nurturing the earth, and tending to his animals with a passion that reflected his love for nature.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and a deep connection to the land. Carl's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will endure in the love and memories he leaves behind.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Mountain Time on Saturday, October 21 with viewing one hour prior at Imperial Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Loy officiating. I
Interment to follow at Crete Cemetery.
