Clarence “Butch” Lynn Way Sr. was born September 24, 1943, at David City, Nebraska, to Clarence W. and Lucille I. (Harris) Way. Butch attended school and graduated from Rising City High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper from May of 1963 through November of 1964. After his discharge he started his long career in truck driving. Butch worked for many different trucking firms over the years including the Double O Trucking Company, where he was employed for ten years.
Butch married Mary Ann Cerny on November 28, 1980, in Osceola, Nebraska. The couple settled in Osceola, before moving to southwest Nebraska, Wauneta, to be near family.
Butch was a member of the Imperial VFW Post # 4688, and loved to fish and golf. Butch passed away January 16th, 2014, at Denver General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was 70 years of age.

Survivors include: Companion, Mary Ann of, Wauneta,NE Daughter, Melissa Hipps and Companion, Scott Hecker, of North Platte, NE Step-Daughter, Tisa Vanderpool, of Texas Sons: Clarence L. Way Jr., of Arizona; Raymond Way, of Arizona; Terry Way, of Wyoming; David Way, of Wyoming; and Adam Way, of Wyoming. Granddaughter: Raven Brother, Willard Way and wife, Judy, of Mead, NE Sister, Darlene Jens, and Companion, Ken Shafer, of Champion,NE Sister, Sue Meyers, of Champion,NE Brother, Lee Way and wife, Mary Jo, of David City, NE Nuemerous Nieces and Nephews
Graveside Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. (MT), Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at Crete Cemetery, Rural Champion, Nebraska, with Vicar Jake Berger officiating and Full Military Honors.
There will be no visitation, Butch chose cremation.
A Memorial has been established in Butch’s Memory.
