Donald Einspahr
Donald Warren Einspahr was born March 29th, 1928, in Enders, Nebraska, to Theodore W. and Susie V. (Herbert) Einspahr. Don grew up and attended school in the Wauneta before joining the Merchant Marines in 1945. Don served during the end of WWII and the Korean War in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.
Don married Patricia Pearl Duysen on February 3, 1949, in Grant, Nebraska, and to this union two children were born: Donald E. and Linda K. The couple first settled in Imperial, NE. Don entered the service during the Korean War and Pat moved to Wauneta, to live with Don’s parents. After his discharge the couple lived in the Denver area where they owned a Skelly Service Station. The couple then moved to Wauneta, where Don was employed in farming. Later he worked for the Wallace Construction Company in McCook, NE and the McCook Fire Department. Don became the acting Fire Chief and served for many years. He was also a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Culbertson.
Don passed away Friday evening, September 15th, 2017, at the Hill Crest Nursing Home of McCook. He was 89 years of age.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Patricia, brothers; Richard, Wayne, and Robert. Sisters; Mildred Long and Norma Schultz
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 20th, 2017, 10:30 A.M. ( Mountain Time) at Liewer Funeral Home in Imperial, NE with Rev. Bruce Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation will be held before services on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 starting at 9:00 A.M. (Mountain Time)
