Duane Arnold Neverve was born November 1, 1955, in Wauneta, Nebraska, to Marjorie P. (Bartels) and Lamont Neverve. Duane grew up in the Denver, Colorado, area and graduated from Westminster High School in 1973. After graduation, Duane went on to continue his education and received a degree as a Master Electrician.
On October 28, 1978, Duane married Lori Lane at the Faith Lutheran Church in Denver and to this union daughter Riki was born. The family first settled in Westminster, Colorado, for two to three years before moving to Evanston, Wyoming. Duane was employed as a master electrician. He also worked as a semi-truck driver and in the oil fields as a roustabout. While living in Wyoming, Duane was a Deputy Sherriff of Uinta County, Wyoming.
Duane was a member of the Eighth District Electrical NECA Union.
Duane enjoyed leather work, painting, fishing, hunting, being in the country, gardening, working on household projects, and helping friends fix any problems they were having at their houses. He especially loved spending time and reminiscing with family and friends.
Duane passed away October 13, 2021, at his home in Westminster, Colorado. He was 65 years of age.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents Lamont and Marjorie Neverve.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Riki Willis and her husband Steve of Ely, Nevada.
Brother: Stan Neverve and wife Sue of Westminster, Colorado.
Grandchildren: Tre Willis, Kaylee Willis, Esperanza Willis, and Jaidyn Willis.
Great-grandchild: Myles Willis-Parmley.
Brother: Stan Neverve and wife Sue of Westminster, Colorado.
Nieces: Tiffany Cessna (Kevin Aldor) and Candice (Scott) Wallace.
Memorial Services for Duane will be held Saturday morning, November 13, 2021, 10:30 a.m. (MT), at Zion Lutheran Church, Imperial, Nebraska, with Pastor Keith Wellman officiating.
Private family inurnment will be held Saturday morning, November 13, 2021, 9:00 a.m. (MT), at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, Nebraska.
Memorials, in Duane's memory, have been suggested to the Neverve family for a future designation.
