Eldon R Roschewski

Eldon Robert Roschewski was born March 21, 1926, to Henry and Goldie (Dick) Roschewski of Beatrice, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Beatrice. Eldon graduated from Beatrice High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged May, 1946.

After his service, Eldon moved to Imperial, Nebraska, to find work. He married Mildred Haarberg in August of 1946. Eldon worked for the City of Imperial for 45 years before retiring. He assisted local farmers with fall harvest in his retirement along with working 18 years for the Nebraska Game and Parks in the summers.

Eldon was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, Nebraska. He enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing and traveling with wife, Mildred, of 74 years.

Eldon passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. He was 93 years of age.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Donald Roschewski, niece; LeAnn Haarberg, sister-in-law; Shirley Haarberg, and brother-In-Law; Louis Clay


Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 20, 2020, 10:30 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow, with full military honors, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.

Eldon chose no visitation

A memorial has been suggested to the Roschewski family for future designation.
