Eleanor May (Molzahn) Wagner was born May 19, 1931 to Emil and Carrie (Weiss) Molzahn. She was baptized May 20, 1931 at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial, Nebraska by Pastor Fred A. Elze and confirmed on May 20, 1945 by Pastor Herbert J. Schulenburg also at Zion Lutheran Church. She was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She attended school at rural District 23, Imperial Grade School and Chase County High School.

Eleanor married Arthur Wagner on February 5, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor Walter A. Meyer. Four children blessed this union.

Eleanor taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She belonged to Fireman’s Auxiliary, Garden Club and Senior Saints.

Eleanor cleaned houses and her house was always spotless. She worked at Arnison’s clothing store and Colonial Kitchen.

She enjoyed gardening and crafting with her husband Art. She also enjoyed reading and sewing and sewed clothing for children and grandchildren. In her later years she did a lot of embroidery work.

Eleanor Passed away at Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 21, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Bertha Molzahn and Evelyn McCormick and brothers Herman Molzahn and Edward Molzahn; grandsons Jonathan Wagner and Alan Wagner; and grandson-in-law Nick Ryan.

Survivors include her husband, Art; her children Mike (Deb) of Longmont, Colorado, Terry (Joan) of Imperial, Nebraska, Tim (Cynthia) of Beatrice, Nebraska and Gina (John) Allen of Bozeman, Montana: Grandchildren Alicia (Daniel) Terrill, Amanda (Ken) Allen, Angela Wagner, Audra (Ryan) Clark, Crystal Wagner, Teresa (Tim) Ledford, Sheena (Daniel) Smith: Liz (Jeff) Elgan, Timothy (Holly) Wagner. Benjamin (Anna) Wagner, Leah (Christopher) Humphries, Lydia (John) Niemeier, Jaime Edison, Jacob (Sarah) Wagner, Jesse Wagner, Madison (Jacob) Cude, Samuel Wagner; Cassandra Wagner, and Tyler (Greer) Pohl: Great-grand children Christopher (Jalyne Vogel) Terrill, Madalyn Terrill (Ruben) Muniz, Meagan Terrill, Ethan, Emma, Allyson, and Brooklyn Allen, Riah, Dakota and Declan Clark; Chloe Wagner, Briana, Trinitey & Tim Junior Ledford, Audrey Smith: Hallie and Reagan Elgan, Callen, Dorothy, Everley and Fiora Wagner, Zia, Eli, and Mya Humphries, and Randi and Henry Niemeier: and Great Great- Grandchildren Brayson Vogel, Aria Jade Fletcher, Dallas and Emilia Muniz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. (CT) Thursday September 26, at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 11668 NE-4 Beatrice with Rev. Greg Stuckwish officiating, viewing to be held one hour prior to service. A second funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. (MT) Saturday, September 28 at Zion Lutheran Church 1305 Broadway Street Imperial, NE with Pastor Scott Adle officiating, viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
