Erma Crumrine
Erma Francis “Lawler” Crumrine was born January 5, 1927, to Marion Lewis and Luella Frances (Stone) Lawler in Hastings, Nebraska. As a young girl she grew up and attended school in Hastings.
Erma married Donald Richard Crumrine in Hastings, Nebraska, on January 19th, 1952, and the couple settled in Hastings. They resided in several different places including North Platte, Nebraska, New Hampton Iowa, Blue Hill, Nebraska, and finally Imperial, Nebraska.
Before Erma was married she worked for the cleaners and Workman’s Photography Studio in Hastings. After she and Don were married they started a family and in 1955 opened their own flower shop, Crumrine’s Flowers, in Blue Hill, Nebraska. They moved the business to Imperial, Nebraska in 1957, where they operated the business for 35 years.
Erma was a member of the United Methodist Church of Imperial, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle and Bell Choir. She was also a member of the Kitchen Band at the Senior Center, and a longtime member of VFW Post 4688 Auxiliary. She assisted with the Blood Mobile and was a member of the Women’s Bowling league in Imperial for many years. She loved music, gardening, knitting, embroidery, writing poems, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (not necessarily in that order).
Erma passed away Tuesday morning, November 4th, 2014, at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant, Nebraska. She was 87 years of age.

Funeral Services were held Friday morning, November 7th, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church of Imperial, with Lay-Pastor Melody Newman and Rev. Harun Gatobu officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation was held Friday morning, November 7th, 2014, before services starting at 8:30 A.M., at the United Methodist Church of Imperial.
Memorials have been established to the United Methodist Church of Imperial and the Golden Ours Nursing Home of Grant, NE.
