Gary Crum
Gary Eugene Crum was born April 5, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, to Dallas C. and Nellie D (Johnson) Main. As a young man he grew up and attended school in the Denver area.
Gary was an auto mechanic by trade, working at Valley Automotive in Laird, Colorado, for many years.
On March 18, 2009, Gary married Wendy L. Elkins in Benkelman, Nebraska. The coupled settled in Haigler, Nebraska, where they have made their home until present.
Gary enjoyed working on cars, watching Denver Bronco football, and he especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was devastated when he had to quit riding because of his cancer diagnoses. Gary’s grandkids were very dear to him, and he loved spending time with them.
Gary passed away Thursday evening, March 10, 2022, at the Dundy County Hospital, Benkelman. Gary was 65 years of age.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Greg Crum, brother-in-law; Mike McCarthy, and lifelong friends; Pat McCarthy, Marilyn and Floyd Furrer

7 Grandchildren: Madison Gabriella, Taylon, Chloe, Haidon, Vanessa, and Owen
1 Great-Grandchild: Evelyn
Brother: Mike Baugh and wife, Marlene, of Hotchkiss, CO
Sister: Vicki McCarthy of Grand Island, NE
Brother: David Baugh of Denver, CO
Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Sheila Crum of Littleton, CO, Donnie Elkins (Susan) of Missouri, Shawne Melby (Wayne) of Wisconsin, Neil Elkins (Tonya) of Kansas, Mike Potter (Nichole) of Kansas, Jennifer Moore (Mike) of Kansas, and Shane Potter (Deb) of Kansas
Gary wishes were for cremation with no visitation.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, 2:00 P.M. (MT) at the American Legion Hall of Haigler, Nebraska, with Shane Potter Speaking. The family has asked for casual dress of those attending.
A memorial, in Gary’s memory, has been suggested to the Crum family for a future designation.
