Longtime resident of Imperial passed away Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2014, at the Imperial Manor, Imperial, NE. He was 78 years of age. Survivors Include: Wife: Kay Haarberg of Imperial, NE. Son: Dirk Haarberg and wife, Elizabeth, of Imperial, NE. Daughter: Keeli Yonkers and Husband, Mark of Bridgeport, NE. 4 Grandchildren 3 Great-Grandchildren Brother: Lorris Haarberg and wife, Ruth, of Arapahoe, NE Sister: Marilyn Baldonado and Husband, Paul, of Ft. Scott, KS Brother-In-Law: Kermit Kuecker of Clive, IA.
Funeral services for Gene Haarberg will be held Tuesday morning, November 25th, 2014, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation will be held Monday afternoon, November 24th, 2014, 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.
Memorials have been established to the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, and the Imperial Community Foundation.
