Gerald “PJ” Louis Pajerski was born on January 21, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Louis & Linnea Pajerski. He was the second oldest of 13. PJ attended school in Minneapolis where he graduated from Washburn High School in 1957 and then attended the University of Minnesota for two years before being drafted to US Army in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1970. He served in Wurzburg, Germany as a Personnel Specialist from Dec. 1961 to Dec. 1965, Vietnam from July 1970 to November 1970. He trained in Fort Mammouth, NJ for 8 weeks in 1967 for ADP console training and received 2 weeks of training for computer OPT-Tag GE course in 1968. Then 2 weeks in XDS 9-series program in 1970. PJ was united in marriage to Erica Valentin in 1963 while serving in the Army.
After his honorable discharge in 1971 he moved back to Minneapolis to work with his father, a general contractor and interior designer. Throughout the years from Minneapolis to Omaha to McCook and then to Imperial, he had a wide array of positions. His ending career was with his own business, Imperial Marketing where he sold and marketed Groff Ag Equipment throughout the Midwest. While living in Imperial he married Caroline “Carla” Pflum on January 17, 2003.
PJ was a lifetime member of the AMVets. He enjoyed being involved with the local VFW Post #4688 and being the head commander for 20 years. He was an Isaak Walton League member for many years and tried his hand/fishing rod at the annual catfish tournament. He was also an avid golfer when time permitted. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with family and watching the grandchildren grow up and participated with as many of their activities as possible. His great personality and sense of humor awarded him many friends. He never knew a stranger.
PJ Pajerski, a 35+ year resident of Imperial, passed away early Monday morning, October 16, 2017 at the Imperial Manor Nursing home. He was 78 years of age.

Funeral services for PJ Pajerski will be 10:30 A.M. (MT), Friday, October 20, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial will Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial with full Military Honors.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon, October 19, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.
