Gordon Lee Rammage Sr.

January 12, 1936 — March 25, 2019

Gordon Lee Rammage Sr. was born January 12, 1936 in Kearney, Nebraska to Roy and Erna (Schirneker) Rammage. He attended school through the tenth grade and volunteered for the United States Air Force on June 1, 1954. Gordon received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his time in military service. He married Janet Brimbau on May 19, 1956 in Edwardsville, Illinois and the couple lived in France where Gordon was stationed. Gordon received his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force in December of 1957; he had achieved the rank of Airman Second Class.

Gordon and Janet moved to various locations following his leaving the service and finally settled in the Enders, Nebraska area in 1983. He would live in Enders for the rest of his life. Gordon was a self-employed TV Technician. He was known to say, “If I can’t fix it, it isn’t broken”. Gordon’s eyesight began failing and he turned to his true love of carpentry, working on numerous houses in the area. In addition to woodworking, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, square-dancing and playing cards.
