Gordon Lee Rammage Jr.

Gordon Lee Rammage Jr, 67, of Wauneta, Nebraska, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on February 8th, 2025. Gordon was born in Orleans, France, to Janet and Gordon Sr. on July 2, 1957. He went to school at Republican Valley High School, class of 1975.

Gordon married Ronda Lynn Craig in 1976 and from this marriage was 2 children, Shannon Kay Rammage and Jeffrey Lee Rammage. He later married Kimberly Annette Libby in 2003 where he gained a stepson, Sterling Smith.

 Gordon spent his years implementing both his high standard of work ethic and highly talented skills drilling oil wells before moving to water wells. Gordon was well known locally by the farming community as the man to navigate, troubleshoot, and perfect the best water well. Gordon enjoyed teaching the trade and instilling impeccable work ethic to all that was fortunate enough to work with him. Gordon officially retired in 2022; however, he continued to work parttime because working brought him much purpose and happiness.

Gordon was most notably known for his passion and love for fishing. Well known in the community locally as the man to fish with if you wanted to know exactly where to catch the big ones. Other hobbies included camping, gardening, yardwork, collecting and shooting guns, attending concerts, and enjoying his family and friends.

Gordon is survived by his mother, Janet Rammage of Enders, NE; wife, Kimberly Libby of Wauneta, NE; daughter of Palisade, NE; son of Ogallala, NE, stepson of Denver CO; sister, Diane Rammage of Belton, TX; brother, Clay Rammage (Cindy) of Minnetonka, MN; eight grandchildren, Shailyn (Geo), Keltyn (Camille), Kadrian, Saviana, Aubrey, Gavin (Araceli), Evin (Jasmine), and Drayvin and three great grandchildren, Maddox, Romila, and Jaax. And two step grandchildren, Serena and Nikoli. Three nieces, DaniSue Zimbelman (Cody), Kimberly Zimbelman, both of TX and Cassie Palmer, of MN. One great niece, Everest Palmer. And many great friends and fishing buddies.

Gordon was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents; Roy and Erna Rammage and Frank and Esther Brimbau, his niece; Crystal Leigh Zimbelman.

Family will receive friends at Liewer Funeral Home in Imperial on Friday, February 14 from 11:00 A.M. -12:00 noon (MT). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 P.M. at the Gordon’s Farm, 72929 341 Avenue Wauneta. Private family inurnment will take place later.
