Haisley Anne Schilke

October 2, 2017 — July 3, 2018

Haisley Anne Schilke was born to Mark and Cathy (Wilson) Schilke on October 2, 2017 at Women’s Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Haisley was born with multiple health issues and was in and out of Children’s Hospital in Omaha and Denver. She enjoyed a total of 9 weeks at home which included her first Christmas. During this time at home she bonded with her siblings and continued to grow and thrive. In March, Haisley returned to Children’s Hospital in Omaha where she underwent multiple surgeries and remained there until her passing on July 3, 2018 at the age of 9 months and 1 day.

Haisley was a happy baby that loved music, snuggles, rocking, playing with her toys and her favorite soft cuddly bear that brought her so much comfort. Haisley stole many hearts and became loved by so many. She was strong and courageous with a fighting spirit that inspired many. She never gave up and defied so many odds. Haisley taught us many lessons in her short time with us, but the most important lesson she taught us was that the quality of life is not about the material things we have, but it is about love; the giving and sharing of love with those around us.

SHE WAS HERE, SHE WAS LOVED, HER LIFE MADE A DIFFERENCE.
