J.W. Glaze
JW Glaze was born June 1, 1949, at El Centro, California, to William and Melba Marie (Dickinson) Glaze. J.W. grew up in California and Idaho, being employed in several different positions over the years including: working in the packing sheds of the onion fields of Idaho, construction of bridges, and a staff member of a cruise line.
JW entered the US Navy on April 12, 1968 and was discharged on August 20, 1969.
JW made his home in Imperial, Nebraska, in 2015. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed including traveling and fishing.
JW passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial, NE. He was 69 years of age
Survivors Include:
Mother: Melba Marie Cooper, of Ontario, Or.
Fiancée: Sharon Orrell, of Imperial, NE
Daughter Kristy Mitchell and husband, Garett, of Ontario, OR
Step-Daughter: Kristie Mae Pankonin of Imperial, NE
Brothers: Tommy Huffman of Fruitland, ID
Ronnie Huffman, of Payette, ID
Dennis Montgomery and wife, Nancy, of Payette, ID
Granddaughter: Brighid Mitchell, of Ontario, OR.
Local Step-Grandsons: “Bubba” Chris Pankonin of Broomfield, CO, Bradley Pankonin
of Imperial, NE
JW was also survived by several Step-sons and daughters, and numerous step- grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother; Johnny, son; Kelly, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, October 10, 2018, 11:00 A.M., at the First United Methodist Church of Imperial, with Rev. Melody Newman officiating. Inurnment will occur at a later date.
No Visitation, JW chose cremation.
Memorials have been suggested in his memory.
