Jack Graham
Jack Alan Graham was born November 5, 1936 in New York, New York. He was adopted and raised by Stuart and Eleanor Graham. Jack graduated in 1954 from a high school in Rahway, New Jersey. After high school, he served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. Jack obtained his Bachelors Degree from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado, in 1980.
Jack was united in marriage to Bonnie Harrison on August 9, 1981 in Lakewood, Colorado. The couple lived in Denver until 2000, when they moved to Wauneta, Nebraska. Jack’s college degree was in Mass Communications; he worked in radio as an announcer and also as a station and program manager for stations in the United States as well as overseas. While he lived in Europe, he was the manager for the US Division for the Voice of Germany. In addition to radio, Jack also worked in real estate and the computer industry.
Jack was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club and attended the Wauneta United Methodist Church. He had a number of passions and hobbies beginning with playing the saxophone in his high school years, fly fishing, music, model railroads and bike riding.
Jack Passed away, with family by his side, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial, Nebraska. He was 75 years of age.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a step-daughter Tammy Borgman and mother-in-law Violet Harrison.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie Graham of Wauneta, Nebraska; son Glenn and wife, Tammy Graham of Goleta, California; step-children: Sheri and husband, Dennis Pless and Tony and wife, Holly Borgman; Parents-in-law Wayne and Katie Harrison; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services for Jack Graham will be held Thursday morning, August 9th, 2012, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta, with Pastor Bonnie McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, August 8th, 2012, 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Wauneta.
A memorial has been established to the Wauneta Volunteer Fire Department
