John Sieperda was born to James and Ann (Dykstra) Sieperda on November 2, 1953 in Artesia, California. He grew up on the family farm in Southern California and graduated from Ontario Christian High School with the Class of 1971. John married Annie VanderStoel in Chino, California on December 16, 1977.
The couple made Kerman, California their home. John was self-employed for his entire life. In Kerman, John worked on the family dairy-farm as a dairyman. He also owned his own trucking business until moving to Nebraska in 1998. In Nebraska, the couple made homes in Elsie, Wauneta and Imperial. John owned a dairy and a lawn care service business. At the time on his passing, he owned and operated the local laundromat in Imperial. The family attended the Imperial Bible Church.
John Sieperda passed away March 3, 2016 at the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial, Nebraska. He was 62 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Henry and Clasina VanderStoel, and brothers-in-law, Steve Taatjes and Doug Menninga.

Funeral services were Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016. Family and friends met at the funeral home in Imperial at 9:30 A.M. (Mountain Time) and processed to Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial, where burial took place prior to services. Memorial services followed the interment at 11:00 A.M. (Mountain Time) at the Imperial Bible Church with Pastor Robby Clay officiating.
Visitation was Monday evening, March 7, 2016 from 6:30-8:30 P.M. (Mountain Time) at the funeral home in Imperial.
A Memorial has been established to Children of Promise –Haiti-.
