LAURIE BRIGGS

Laurie Jodeen Briggs was born, July 14, 1961, at McCook, Nebraska, to William B. Hill Jr. and Donna Fanning. She grew up and attended school in Arthur, Nebraska, graduating from Arthur High School in 1979. Laurie furthered her education by taking restaurant management classes.

Laurie’s working career started with her father at the Keystone-Arthur, Telephone Company. She later was a store manager for Hardee’s in Wyoming, and Skippers restaurants in Montana. Following Laurie marriage to Allen Briggs in 2004, the couple went on to travel the country, constructing Walmart complexes. Eventually they settled in the Las Vegas area, where Laurie worked as a property manager for the Jim Page Estate.

Laurie loved her Mastiffs; Brutus, Danika, and Zora. Cuca, her Chihuahua, also brought her many laughs. She would speak to her dogs as though they were her misbehaving children.

On Saturday, September 15th, 2018, Laurie passed away at her home in Henderson, NV. She was 57 years of age.

Daughters: Darraigh Parker and husband, Brian, of Alva, OK
Kendra Urdiales of Cheyenne, WY.
5 Grandchildren: Natalee, Kain, and Aubrey Urdiales, Cadence, and Kord,
Parker
Brother: Jodie Hill and wife, Gail, of Bismarck, ND

Laurie was preceded in death by her father, William B. Hill Jr., and grandparents; Virgil and Esther Fanning.


Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018, 3:00 P.M (MOUNTAIN TIME) at the Riverside Cemetery of Wauneta, NE

Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon before services, September, 22, 2018, 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. (MOUNTAIN TIME) at the Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta, NE

Memorials have been suggested to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
