Lois Ann Wedel, of Imperial, Nebraska, age 79, passed away January 25, 2012. She was born on August 7, 1932 in Hanston, Kansas to Francis Eugene (Buss) Seaman and Alta Blanche Bailey Seaman. Lois was the devoted wife of Dr. Merle Dwight Wedel, a noted chiropractor in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They were married on November 22, 1951 in Hanston, Kansas, and to this union, three children were born, Dwight, Annette and Mark. Lois and her husband, Merle moved to Stillwater in 1958 where she raised her family, assisted in her husband's clinic and was a valuable member of the community. She was an avid volunteer in many organizations, some of which included the Girl Scouts, the Stillwater hospital, and church. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist, and then the University Baptist. In 2002 she moved to Bixby, Oklahoma after her husband's death. In 2011 she moved to Imperial, Nebraska to an assisted living facility where she passed away. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; her parents, Buss and Alta Seaman; and her brothers, Tony and Dennis Seaman. Survivors include her children Dwight and his wife Pam of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Annette Longan of Imperial, Nebraska; and Mark of Bixby, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside memorial on Monday, January 30 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma arranged by Strode Funeral Home.
