Loren Dale Doetker was born on October 24, 1949 and departed this life on October 8, 2019. He was 69 years of age.
He attended country school at Eden through the eighth grade and graduated from Wauneta High School in 1967. He later enrolled at Western Technical College in Englewood, Colorado, graduating as an Automotive Technician.
Shortly after college, he entered the United States Army where he served in Vietnam in 1970. Loren supported the Disabled American Veterans and was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
After the service, he married Karen L. Lucas on June 5, 1976. They moved to a farm southeast of Wauneta, Nebraska. They received the Conservation Award for their dedicated care of the land. Loren was especially proud of the evergreen tree break which he so diligently cared for.
Loren leaves behind a wife, Karen of Wauneta; daughters Lisa Schaffert of Culbertson, Nebraska, Kay Markut of McCook, Nebraska, and Michelle Doetker of Cambridge, Nebraska; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (CT), Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at Eden Cemetery southeast of Wauneta with Pastor Keith Wellman officiating and full Military Honors.
No viewing or visitation.
