Lyle Glen Coleman, 70 of North Platte, passed away on Feb. 20,2025 at the Great Plains Hospital.

Lyle Coleman was born on Jan. 28, 1955, at the Grant Community Hospital. He was the oldest of 3 children born to Glen and Roberta Coleman. When Lyle was 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy that would affect him physically and be a challenge for him for the rest of his life.

Lyle was raised on a dairy farm in northeast Chase County. He attended grade school at the Blanche Elementary School (a one- room K-8 country school) where he graduated and then attended Chase County High School until his graduation in 1974. After completing high school, Lyle continued working on the family dairy farm and had his own custom haying and baling company that he ran for several years.

In 1981 Lyle met Sherry Rippe and they were married on Feb. 14, 1982. Lyle and Sherry moved from their country home and became residents in the Imperial Manor due to failing health. In 2020 they moved to the Centennial Manor in North Platte where Sherry passed away in October, 2021. Lyle continued residing there up until his death on Feb. 20, 2025.
