Mary Eleanor Bopp
June 21, 1926 — May 30, 2016
Mary Eleanor (Casebeer) Bopp was born in Imperial, Nebraska, to Clarence Edmund and Katheryn Barbara (Mathews) Casebeer on June 21, 1926.
Mary Graduated from Chase County High School in 1944. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph Bopp on January 28, 1948. She resided at the family home in Champion, Nebraska, until entering the Imperial Manor.
Mary was a beloved mother to five children. She served faithfully for many years with the St. Patrick’s Alter Society. After her children were raised, she worked at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home for twenty years and retired with a desire to travel.
Mary passed away Monday morning, May 30th, 2016, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home. She was 89 years of age.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Katheryn, siblings; Edmund dean, Barbara, Pat, and Jim.
Survivors Include:
Daughter: Margaret Ruefenacht and husband, Alvin, of
Soddy Daisy, TN
Son: Jody Bopp and wife, Debra, Imperial, NE
Daughter: Martha Holloway, Champion, NE
Son: Phillip Bopp and wife, Lois, of Georgia
Son: Richard Bopp of Sullivan, MO.
Numerous cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Visitation was held Thursday afternoon, June 2, 2016, 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home Imperial.
A Rosary was recited for Mary, before services Friday , June 3, 2016, starting at 9:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Imperial, NE
The Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday morning, June 3, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at St Patricks Catholic Church with Father Bernard Lorenz officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
A memorial has been established in Mary’s memory.
