Mary Darlene Zech was born February 1, 1940, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Albert W. and Minnie (Johnson) Zech. As a youngster, she was raised by her Zech grandparents being baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial. Mary grew up attended school in Imperial, graduating form Chase County High School in 1958.

Mary resided with her grandparents and had a servant’s heart caring for her grandmother for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, and crocheting. Mary was a kind, gentle, and loving person to all that she met. She will be truly missed.

Mary passed away passed away Friday evening, May 27, 2022, at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center of North Platte, Nebraska. Mary was 82 years of age.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters; Elva Ann (Zech) Spady and husband Darwin, Lori (Zech) Valentine and Clara Zech.

Survivors Include:
Nieces: Cathleen (Spady) Mastagni and husband, Martin, Tammy (Spady) Emery and husband, Mark, Lana Smith, Lisa Sloot, and Debra Valentine.
Nephews: Scott Spady, and Jeff Valentine
Great-Nephew: Matthew Emery

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday morning, June 1, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, with Pastor Keith Wellman officiating.

Memorials, in Mary’s memory, have been suggested to the Donor’s Choice.
