Maxine L. Cox was born on February 12, 1945, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Ruby Lee (Lowry) and Pleasant M. Harris. Maxine grew up in Imperial and graduated from Chase County High School in 1963.
Maxine married Robert D. Cox on May 4, 1963.
Maxine enjoyed playing cards and attending sporting activities. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.
Maxine passed away Sunday evening, December 5, 2021, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. She was 76 years of age.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Pleas and Ruby Harris; brother, Jack Harris; and sister-in-law, Lea Harris.
Survivors Include:
Husband: Robert of Imperial, NE.
Sons: Dodd Cox and wife, Tonja, of Grand Island, NE.
Doug Cox and wife, Cindy, of Treynor, IA.
5 Grandchildren: Courtney Cox Shafer, KyLea Cox Wissing, Jennifer Cox Kemper, Jason Cox and Justin Cox.
6 Great-Grandchildren.
An Open house with Robert and the Cox family present will be held Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021, 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. (MT), at Liewer Funeral Home, Imperial, NE.
No visitation, Maxine chose cremation.
