Merle Macklin Jr
Merle E. Macklin Jr was born March 17, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to Merle Macklin Sr. and Pauline (Arguello) Gomez. He attended school at Adams City High in Denver. After high school, Merle went to Auraria College Campus and Front Range Community College in Denver. In 1997, he attended Weber Driving School and learned to drive a semi.
Merle was a steel rule die maker at Boyd Corporation and ABC Die Company in Denver. In Imperial, he worked for CPS, The City of Imperial, Carquest and was a mechanic at the Auto Shop. He also did some long-haul trucking when needed.
Merle lived and breathed hunting and fishing. Nothing got him more excited than catching his Master Angler muskie or having a “monster buck” in the sights of his bow.
On August 27th, 2011 Merle married Carol Robbins at their home in rural Enders, where the couple lived until Merle’s death.
Merle E. Macklin Jr, 50, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home in rural Enders.
He was preceded in death by three of his grandparents.
Survivors include: Wife, Carol of rural Enders Father, Merle Macklin Sr. and wife, Twyla of Imperial Mother, Pauline Gomez and husband, Sonny of Denver Son, Shawn Macklin of Denver Stepsons, Kody, Boone and Shane Huff Grandmother, Alice Arguello of Denver Sister, Desiree MacKenzie and husband, Robert of Denver Brother, Joseph Macklin of Denver Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews A private family memorial service was held Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at the Imperial Bible Church with Pastor Allen Prodoehl officiating.
There was no visitation; Merle chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in merle’s memory.
