Orville Raymond Kunnemann was born July 9, 1924, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Henry D. and Katherine (Hansen) Kunnemann. “Corky” as he was known attended country school in Chase County as a youngster. He entered the U.S. Army on March 7, 1946, and served in the Philippines during WWII. After his discharge on April 11, 1947, he returned to Southwest Nebraska and continued assisting his family in the farming operations.
Corky married Arleen Grace Bremer on June 18, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial. The couple settled on a farm west of Imperial, where they raised their family. Farming was Corky’s life, he loved to attend farm sales, and spending an afternoon at the sale barn eating lunch and watching the cattle sell. He was active in the FFA & 4-H Associations and enjoyed card club with Arleen in their earlier days.
Corky passed away Friday morning, November 1, 2019, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial, Nebraska. He was 95 years of age.

10 Great-Grandchildren: Haley, Sadie, Brynnlee Kunnemann, Kendra, Kristopher and Kaci Burke, Morgan and Cody Mraz, Marshall Leighton and Xander Bliss Brother: Delbert Kunnemann and wife, Bernice, of Billings, MT
Corky is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Arleen in 2012, Son: Douglas, daughter-In-Law: Karen and grandson; Jeffery. Brothers: Raymond, Clarence, Elmer, and Arnold. Sisters: Bernice Sorge, Irene Bremer, and Rosaline Peterson,
Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning, November 7, 2019, 10:30 A.M., at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at the Chase Cemetery, rural Imperial, NE
Visitation will be held at services on Thursday morning, November 7, 2019, starting at 9:00 A.M.
A memorial has been suggested to the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, NE.
