Patricia Ilene Hammel was born June 23, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Larry and Hertha (Ahrendson) Holien. Pat attended school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, graduating from Wasson High School in 1969.
Pat married Nate Hammel in Colorado Springs where she was employed as the Jr./Youth Bowling Director for Circle Lanes for 10 years. In 1994 Pat moved to Imperial, Nebraska, where she opened Pat’s Party Palace. After several years, Pat purchased the Imperial bowling alley and relocated Pat’s Party Palace to the upstairs. She later became a CNA/MED-AID, at the Imperial Manor where she worked for 20 years.
Pat was a member of the Eagles Club, Women of Today, honorary lifetime member of the VFW, honorary member of the Imperial EMS, Pikes Peak Women’s Bowling Association, Nebraska Women’s Bowling Association, and she was a certified bowling instructor. Pat enjoyed painting, photography, cake decorating, bowling, working with stained glass, antique and coin collecting, and putting on the haunted houses for Halloween. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Pat passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at her home in Imperial. She was 69 years of age.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law David Ridlen, niece Debra Ridlen Palser and nephew Dusty Ridlen.

Son: Nathan Hammel of Miami Beach, FL.
Son: Stephen McGuire of Bend, OR.
Grandchildren: Dylan Davis and Chase Reasoner.
Great-grandchild: Tanner Christopher Davis.
Brother: Larry (Rusty) and Cyndee Holien of Colorado Springs, CO.
Sister: Pamela Ridlen of Haxtun, CO.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021, 2:00 PM (MT), at the Imperial City Gymnasium, Imperial, Nebraska, with Carrie Knoetzel speaking.
A memorial has been established in Pat’s memory to the Imperial EMS.
