Rev. Philip Andrew Kline, 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on September 20, 1942 to Thomas and Laverne Kline in Templeton, PA.
He grew up in Templeton and married the love of his life, Carol M. Hankey on December 20, 1960. He graduated from People’s Bible College, Colorado Springs, CO., in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. He served God faithfully for over 48 years, pastoring churches in Ohio, Wyoming, South Dakota, New Mexico, Colorado and Nebraska. His final pastorate was Southwest Nebraska Holiness Church of rural Wauneta, NE, which he pastored until the time of his death. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, supremely as well as his beloved wife and family and those whom he served in his many years of devoted ministry.
Philip was skilled in stuccoing, plastering, general contracting and had a vast knowledge in many areas of construction. For the past 13 years he has lived in Stratton, NE and has worked as a contractor in Stratton and throughout the surrounding area.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lawaive Atherton, daughter-in-law Esther Kline, and infant grandson Cody Biberstein.
Survivors include: His beloved wife of 51 years, Carol Kline of Stratton, Neb. Sons: Kenneth and Wife Sherri of Wauneta, Neb. Michael and wife Naomi of Loveland, Ohio David of Loveland, Ohio Daughters: Andrea Biberstein and husband, Dean of Stratton, Neb Maria Mosemann and husband, Atlee of Stratton, Neb. Grandchildren: Nathan and Megan Kilne of Wauneta; Wesley and Ashlea Kline of Delta, Colorado; Kelly Kline of Wauneta; Andrew and Brittany Kline of Wauneta Matthew Kline of Loveland, Ohio; Rebecca Wasia, Scott Biberstein, Carissa Biberstein, Jason Biberstein, Derrik Mosemann and Andreanna Mosemann all of Stratton; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Rev. Philip Kline will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:30pm (CT) at the Southwest Nebraska Holiness Church (former Eden Missionary Church), 34850 Road 724, Wauneta, Nebraska with Rev. Lloyd Bley and Rev. M.R. Jones officiating. A flower service will be held at 1:30pm (CT). Interment will follow at the Eden Cemetery, adjacent to the Southwest Nebraska Holiness Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 from 2pm-8pm (MT) at Liewer Funeral home in Wauneta, Nebraska; the family will be present.
A memorial and been established in Philip’s Memory.
