Raymond R. Schultz

Raymond Schultz Raymond Rudolph Schultz was born on August 5, 1918, to Rudolph and Cleyone Marie (Whistler) Schultz near Danbury, Nebraska. Raymond grew up near Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School in 1937. On August 9th, 1968, Raymond married Bonnie Irene Grantham and the couple settled on a farm east of Imperial. Raymond farmed until retirement when he and Bonnie moved into Imperial. Raymond’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling and trapshooting. He and Bonnie also enjoyed square dancing. Raymond passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 29th, 2014, at the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial. He was 95 years of age. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brother Fredrick Schultz; sisters Alice Stites, Cleo Schultz and Velma Montgomery; and stepdaughter Trudy (Grantham) Gorsuch. Survivors Include: Wife: Bonnie Schultz of Imperial, NE. Step-Son: Kelly Grantham and wife, Paula Boneing, of New Mexico Sisters: Freda Wasia of New Braunfels, TX and Pearl Davis of Antioch, CA. 3 Nephews: David Schultz and wife Tina of Danbury, NE. Bruce Wasia of McCook, NE. Donald Schultz and wife Barb of Stowe, OH. 3 Nieces: Beverly Probasco and husband Dennis of McCook, NE. Liana Rich and husband Harry of McCook, NE. Pam Shepard of McCook, NE. 6 Grandchildren: Mike Knehans, Gary Knehans, Shelly Knehans, Carl Grantham, Christopher Grantham and Kelly Johnson. 7 Great-grandchildren: Jazzmine Knehans, Michael Knehans, Cody Knehans, Tara Knehans, Caitlin Knehans, Mikaela Knehans and Aubrey Knehans. Funeral Services for Raymond will be 10:30 A.M. (MT), Saturday morning, May 3rd, 2014, at the United Methodist Church of Imperial, Nebraska, with Pastor Valera Heydenberk officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, Nebraska. Visitation will be 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. (MT), Friday afternoon, May 2nd, 2014, at the funeral home in Imperial.  A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church of Imperial.
