Robert Robert J. Reichert
Robert Jacob Reichert was born September 14, 1934, at Hirschville, North Dakota, to John and Eleanor (Bernhardt) Reichert. He grew up and attended school in North Dakota, marrying Betty L. Jung on June 24th, 1957, at New England, North Dakota. To this union three sons and two daughters were born.
In 1964, Bob and Betty moved to Benkelman, Nebraska, where they made their home for many years. Bob, (as he was known), worked various jobs before moving to Benkelman including rough necking in the oil fields of North Dakota. He then started Reichert Hay Grinding, after the move, and continued serving the Benkelman area until selling the business to Son, Russ. Bob assisted Russ whenever possible but because of failing health retired 2013.
Bob had many hobbies including fishing, elk hunting and breaking horses in his younger years, horse sales, auctions, camping, and coffee time with the boys at Knoles Ford. He raised buffalo and loved to converse with anyone about his buffalo herd. Bob’s buffalo ranch was featured in the New York Times Magazine. He enjoyed driving numerous teams of horses with his granddaughters in parades which included his original covered wagon and team of Percheron horses, Babe and April.
Bob passed away at his home near Benkelman, Nebraska, on June 5th, 2018. He was 83 years of age.

Grandchildren, Ally Jablonski (Lucas), Lexee Reichert, Jordon Dutcher (Austin), and Terra Riggs (Orrin)
Great-Granddaughter: Kalynn Hunter
Sister: Bernadine Wiener of Billings, MT
Brother: Fred Reichert and wife, Agnus, of Billings, MT
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Betty, and son; Ron
Private family graveside inurnment services will be held Friday, June 15th, 2018, 10:00 A.M. (Mountain Time) at the Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman Nebraska
A memorial has been established in Bob’s memory.
