Roger Rowley
Roger Allen Rowley was born May 26th, 1948 to Cecil Claire and Lorna Sarah (Woodruff) Rowley. He graduated from Wauneta High School and went on to study at Kansas City Bible College and Kearney State College.
Roger worked at Rain Irrigation, Southwest Plumbing and Electric and Walgren’s Supermarket. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Wauneta. Roger spent much of his time working on his art. He also enjoyed his cats and gardening; cactus / succulents were his favorites.
Roger passed away Friday afternoon, November 14th, 2014 at the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial. He was 66 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Thelma Scott, Isabelle Denton, Twila Ballard, Wanda Zimmerman; brother, Cecil W. Rowley
Survivors include his nephews: Jerry Rowley and wife, Lori, Kelly Rowley and wife, Amanda, Rick Ballard, Bob Zimmerman and niece Chris Zimmerman; cousins: Susan Jones, Bob Jones, Eddie and wife, Donna Nichols, and Jan Huser; numerous great/great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. (MT), Thursday morning, November 20th, 2014 at Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta, with Dr. Daniel Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at the Ash Grove Cemetery, Rural Wauneta.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning before services at the funeral home in Wauneta.
A memorial has been established in Roger’s memory.
