Stanley Wayne Null was born to Merle and Frieda (Schmidt) Null on October 13, 1941 in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
He married Thelma Hoosier and had three daughters, Dianne, Vickie and Sherri. On January 13, 1967 Stan was united in marriage to Patricia Gehrig in Sterling, Colorado. Stan and Patricia would add daughters Tracy and Stannette to their family as well as step-children, Tabitha, Chuck, Ruth and Anthony. The couple first settled in Illif, Colorado.
Stan farmed and ranched for Phil Martin for 19 years and worked for the Chase County Department of roads for 17 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Imperial and enjoyed hunting. Stan was also a collector of many things: coins, pens and knives and enjoyed working with his hands, making wood and metal décor.
Stan passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home in Lamar, Nebraska. He was 73 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle & Frieda Null; Brothers: Roger & Bobbie Null; Sister, Lillian (Sis) Doyle and Grandson, Dustin Dizmang
Survivors Include: Wife Patricia Null of Central City, NE Daughters: Stannette and husband, Wayne Spickelmier of Henderson, NE; Tracy and husband, Barry Hackney of Wauneta, NE; Tabitha and husband, Dan Borgman of Sterling, CO; Ruth Dizmang of Imperial, NE; Dianne and husband, Bill Strecker of Crook, CO; Vickie Carter of TX and Sherri Robinson of TX Sons: Chuck Dilka of Lamar, NE and Anthony Dilka of Imperial, NE Grandchildren: Miles & Ty Spickelmier, Ashley Gartzke, Kaylee Hackney, Caige Hackney, Bauner & Ally Jo Borgman, Desiree Barrett, Austin Dilka, William Strecker, Patrick Strecker, James, Paul & Victoria Carter, Christal, Kleeda & Glen Robinson and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Brothers: Dean Null, Billy Null, Tim Null, Donald Null
Funeral Services will be held Friday morning, April 10, 2015 10:30 A.M. at the Imperial Bible Church of Imperial, with Pastor Robby Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Imperial
A memorial has been established in Stan’s Memory.
