Sylvester Eugene Gallington died peacefully on December 6th 2014 of natural causes in Benkelman Nebraska at the age of 89.
Sylvester is survived by his three sons Art, Cliff, and David; three grandchildren, Andy, Courtney and Emily; and one sister Esther Dobbins.
Sylvester was born on November 17th 1925, in central Nebraska to Maud and Abraham Gallington. He lived and loved his life in Nebraska with the earlier years making a living as a Nebraska cattle rancher, then later operated water well drilling and wind mill repair business from Parks, Nebraska where he and his family lived.
Sylvester was a friend to those in need, he was passionate about all animals, with horses always his favorite.
Sylvester did not want to have funeral services and often boldly made the comment that he would not attend his own funeral. He requested his ashes scattered in the spring on the blue flowers at home. Condolences can be sent to Art Gallington, PO Box 161, Benkelman, NE 69021
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at the Hester Home and the Dundy County Hospital for the dedication and compassion given to Sylvester during his stay at the Hester Home.
