Ted Grimm
Edward (Ted) A. Grimm was born December 8, 1940, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Charles and Margaret (Scofield) Grimm. Ted lived in Englewood, Colorado, from the time of his birth until retirement. He was baptized on May 9, 1948, and confirmed on April 11, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Englewood, Colorado. His conformation Verse was John 10:27-28; “My sheep listen to my voice, I Know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch then out of my hand.” He attended 1st through 8th grades at Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated in 1959 from Englewood High School, Englewood, Colorado. He was united in marriage to Joyce Vlasin on October 16, 1971, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Denver, Colorado. He worked for C.A. Norgren Company in Littleton, Colorado, for 35 years. They lived in Englewood, Colorado, until their retirement on September 9, 1999, at which time they moved to Wauneta.
Ted was an avid runner. He is well known in the running circles of Eastern Colorado and Southwest, Nebraska. He was responsible for organizing the “Yucca Run” in Wauneta each July at Harvest Festival. His all time favorite activity was fishing! He served on Wauneta’s Village Board for many years and was chairman of the Wauneta Park Board and Tree Board. He was a devoted servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ted passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at his home in Wauneta, Nebraska. He was 70 years of age.
Survivors Include: Wife, Joyce of Wauneta Daughter: Elizabeth Piercey and Husband, Mark, of Fishers, IN Son: Edward Grimm and wife, Lisa, of Lakewood, CO. 4 Grandchildren: Melissa Grimm, Emily Piercey, Kyle and Blake Grimm
Other Survivors Include: Sister-In-Law: Marcy Grimm, Brother-In-Law: Harold Krieg, Brother and Sisters-In-Law: James and Deanna Beacham, Wauneta; Steve and Beverly Haskins, Wauneta; Edward and Mary Vlasin, Nine Mile Falls, WA and many Nieces and Nephews.
Ted was welcomed into heaven by his parents; Brothers: Charles and Gary, Sister: Violet Krieg.

Funeral Services for Ted Grimm will be held Thursday morning, February 24, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wauneta, with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Following a fellowship meal after services, interment will be held at the Madrid Cemetery, Madrid, NE.
Ted chose no public visitation.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Redeemer Lutheran Church, of Wauneta, for the benefit of educating Pastors and Church workers. and the American Cancer Society.
