Viola Bischoff
Viola "VI" Louise (Milner) Bischoff, was born July 20th, 1936, in Haxtun, Colorado, to Lawrence "Pate" and Irene(Roberts) Milner. She attended Prairie Gem Grade School, Chase County High School in Imperial, NE. and Doane College in Crete, NE. During her high school years, Vi worked at Einspahr Drug Store in Imperial, where she met Dale Bischoff. Dale and Vi were united in marriage August 7th, 1956 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, of rural Wauneta, NE. Due to Dale's military service they resided in Seaside, CA and Chinon, France during their first years of marriage. In 1958, Dale and Vi returned to Wauneta, where Vi was an accountant and an active member in the community.Vi passed away peacefully Thursday, September 23, 2010, in Seward, NE.She was 74 years of age.
Vi is survived by her husband, Dale of Wauneta, Daughter; Nancy Thalken and Husband, Ladean, of Lincoln, NE. Son: Bill Bischoff and wife, Rhonda, of Wauneta, NE. Daughter: Bev Kahler and Husband, Bryan, of Lincoln, NE. Four Grandchildren: Shanna Stefkovich, Kassie Austin, Jenae and Logan Bischoff. 4 Great Grandchildren: Keiren Stefkovich, Riley Stefkovich, Reese Stefkovich, and Alivia Austin. Brother: Dean Milner and wife, Dorothy, of Imperial,NE Sister: Virginia Ridlen and Husband, Carl, of Fairview, TN. Brother: Delmer Milner and wife, Wilma of Champion, NE. Brother: Leonard Milner and wife, Effie, of San Jose, CA. other family members include several nieces and nephews, and many firends.
Vi was preceded in death by her parents, and two Brothers: Charles and Ron Milner.
Funeral Services will b held Tuesday morning, September 28, 2010, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wauneta, with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
Visitation will be held Monday afternoon,September 27th, 2010, 2:00 P.M. - 6:00P.M.(MT) at the Funeral Home in Wauneta. The casket will be closed at services on Tuesday Morning.
A memorial has been established in Vi's memory.
