Wynona White
Wynona Jean (Morley) White was born to Benjamin and Evelyn (Mills) Morley on November 11, 1932, on the family farm in Sterling, Kansas.
She married James White in November of 1951. Wynona lived in a number of states including Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin. She worked as a long-haul trucker with her husband in the 60’s and 70’s, and she was also a heavy equipment operator for the Sedgwick County Township in the mid to late 70’s. Wynona had made the Imperial/Champion area her home over the last 18 years. Wynona passed away Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial, NE. She was 79 years old.
Wynona enjoyed sewing and cooking – she made “the best fried chicken”. Wynona spent each Friday night with her great-grandson Cayden and had Sunday coffee with her son Bill. Wynona enjoyed planting and caring for her garden and she also loved her pets and visiting with friends and family.
Wynona was preceded in death by her parents; brother Leland Morley; son Carrl White; daughter Sandra Way; grandson Michael Dillon; and great-grandson Noah Douglas Eclyvean.
Survivors include: Son: Bill White and wife Kim of Champion, Nebraska Grandchildren: Tammy Edyvean and husband Douglas of Watertown, Wisconsin Neil White and wife Elaine of Wichita, Kansas Jesse Dillon and wife Renee of Westminster, Colorado Patricia Dillon of Evergreen, Colorado Carrl White Jr. of Wichita, Kansas Lacey White of Champion, Nebraska Lindsey Norman and Husband, Todd, of Holdrege, Nebraska Lance White and wife Megan of Imperial, Nebraska Logan White of Imperial, Nebraska. 22 Great-Grandchildren Sister: Bonnie Haile and husband Guy of Sterling, Kansas Sister-in-law: Doris Fey Morley of Pennsylvania Niece: Pam Shaud of Pennsylvania Nephew: Jerry Haile of Iowa
Memorial services for Wynona White will be Friday, February 10, 2012, 10:00 a.m. (MT), at the Champion Community Center, Champion, NE. with Pastor Francis Baker officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
No visitation, Wynona chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in Wynona’s memory.
