Born and raised in Yuma, CO Stephen and his family moved to Imperial in July of 2023. Stephen attended mortuary school at Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, TX graduating with the fall class of 2008. After 3 years in Colorado, he and his wife, Kayla moved to Tri-Cities WA, where they started their family and served the Tri-Cities community for 11 years. Wanting to live closer to family and engage in a small-town community once again, Stephen and Kayla are honored to be living in, working, and serving the Imperial community.

Don is a native of Chase County, Nebraska, born in Imperial. He graduated from Chase County High School in 1960 and from Chadron State College with, BA in 1964. Don and Jan met a CSC and were married at Zion Lutheran Church, Benkelman, Nebraska on July 19, 1964. Two sons were born to this union.


Doug, wife Cristen, is an Associate Director for Development at Appalachian State University, Boone, NC.


Jason (Jake), wife Michelle, daughter Peyton, and son Logan, are in the parts department of 21st Century John Deere, Imperial, NE.


Don retired from Adams Bank and Trust in 2016 after 42 years of service. Don and Jan enjoy attending the activities of their two grandchildren. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church. Other activities include riding their Harley Davidson trike, sport shooting, and hunting. The CCS Longhorns, Huskers, UNK Lopers, and App St. Mountaineers are followed closely.

Tim Daum and his wife Kristi hail from Cozad, Nebraska. Following high school, Tim completed his pre-requisite mortuary studies at the University of Nebraska, Kearney, and later went on to graduate from Kansas City, Kansas School of Mortuary Science. He obtained his degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service, passing The National Funeral Director’s Board Examination and earning his Embalmer License. Tim secured licensure in both Kansas and Nebraska, which he maintains today.


Kristi also attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Kearney majoring in elementary education and early childhood special education. Throughout the years she has enjoyed teaching preschool, substitute teaching, and providing early intervention services as a Service Coordinator for Early Childhood Connections in Eastern Colorado. Presently, Kristi serves as the PreNeed Insurance Agent for their firms, licensed in both Nebraska and Kansas, and is active in the funeral business, working alongside Tim. 


Tim and Kristi have three children; Alyson who enjoys living and working in the Denver area as an Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security's Rocky Mountain Region, Brenleigh and her husband, Garrett Fries, who reside and work in both agriculture and retail in southwest Nebraska, and Drew, a 2024 graduate of Dordt University, and fiancée, Olivia Netjes.Drew and Olivia will make their home in Sioux Falls, SD where Drew plans employment as a Civil Engineer for ISG Engineering and following her 2025 graduation, Olivia will work as a nurse in an area hospital.


Tim and Kristi purchased their first funeral homes in Limon, Burlington, and Cheyenne Wells, CO in 2000, serving the rural communities of the Eastern Plains until 2017. They co-owned Blasé Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg and Curtis, NE from 2006 to 2023. In July 2010, Tim and Kristi acquired Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook, relocating to the area. January 1, 2024, brought the acquisition of Liewer Funeral Homes in Imperial and Wauneta, and Benkelman Memorial Chapel in Benkelman with business partners, Stephen and Kayla Mulder, who reside in Imperial.


Tim and Kristi are both actively involved in the communities they serve. Tim is a past District 7 President of the Nebraska Funeral Directors Association, a member of the Plainsmen Sportsmen Chapter of Pheasants Forever, the Optimist Club, and the McCook Community College Booster Board. Kristi enjoys volunteering with the TeamMates Mentoring Program and the McCook Cordials and sits on numerous community boards. Alongside the Mulder Family, Tim and Kristi are honored to provide the families of Southwest Nebraska with quality, caring funeral service.

Mike & Cindy purchased the funeral homes in Imperial and Wauneta, Nebraska, in 1992. Benkelman Memorial Chapel was added in 2013. The couple has provided professional and personal funeral services, prearrangements, and monument sales for the past 30 years.

Mike and Cindy both originate from Southeast, Nebraska. Mike graduated from Auburn High School and Cindy from Johnson-Brock High School in 1977.

They both continued their education, Mike graduating from Peru State College in 1981, and Cindy, at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, graduating from Peru State College in 2006.


In 1982 the couple moved to Houston, Texas, where Mike was enrolled at Commonwealth College of Funeral Service, graduating in 1983.


Moving to the Scottsbluff and Gering, Nebraska, communities, Mike began his career in funeral service and served his apprenticeship with Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home and Gering Memorial Chapel, becoming a Nebraska-licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer that same year. Mike and Cindy along with their growing family resided in Kansas City, Missouri (Mount Moriah Funeral Home), Valentine, Nebraska, (Sandoz Chapel of The Pines Funeral Home) before purchasing Creveling Funeral Home in Imperial, Nebraska, in 1992. Benkelman Memorial Chapel in Benkelman, Nebraska, was added in 2013.


Mike and Cindy have been actively involved in the Imperial community over the years. Mike held offices including the presidency of the Imperial Chamber of Commerce, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Imperial Eagles Club. Mike has also served on the St. Patrick's Catholic Church Parish Board including offices and Grand Knight of the local Knights of Columbus Council. Cindy has held offices in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church Alter Society including president.


Mike and Cindy have four kids and four grandkids at this time and enjoy golfing together and chasing grandkids.
